DR. SARAH’S IMPROV GROUP

Led by Dr. Sarah Tarlecki, this group for children and teens occurs weekly or biweekly on an ongoing basis. Dr. Sarah uses improv comedy techniques to help group members build social skills and confidence, foster creativity, and increase cognitive flexibility within a supportive setting. Skill development occurs in a playful, nonjudgmental context. Through real-time practice, your child will learn essential communication skills (e.g., active listening, turn-taking, and persepctive-taking).

The improv group is offered in small cohorts - typically no more than 5 to 6 participants per group. At this time, there is a child/early teen group (ages 8-13) and a teen group (14 and older). Please contact Dr. Sarah Tarlecki if you have questions regarding these ages ranges, as they are flexible.

While this group can be a good fit for a variety of individuals, your child or teen may benefit from this group in particular if they experience any of the following: anxiety, social difficulties, social phobia/social anxiety disorder, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional dysregulation or mood symptoms, and executive functioning challenges.

Please fill out our contact form, and we will be in touch within the next business day.
